If you do not currently hold a Michigan Concealed Pistol License (CPL), you must obtain a License to Purchase (LTP) before acquiring a handgun.

Here's how:

  • Visit your local police department to apply for a purchase permit.
  • If you live in a rural area without a local police department, you may apply at your county sheriff’s office instead.

This step is required by Michigan law for all non-CPL holders seeking to purchase a pistol. Be sure to bring valid identification and allow time for processing

We offer a selection of handguns for student use, and ammunition is fully supplied for the live fire portion of the course.

  • No need to bring your own firearm—unless you prefer to (see our firearm policy).
  • Firearm rentals and ammunition are included in the price of the class. There are no hidden fees.

This ensures every student has access to reliable equipment and can focus on learning safely and confidently.

Yes, students are welcome to bring their own firearms for training. However, please follow these important safety guidelines:

•  📦 Firearms must be stored in a locked case while in your vehicle.

•  🚫 Personal firearms and live ammunition are strictly prohibited in the classroom at all times.

These rules help ensure a safe and focused learning environment for everyone. Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to responsible firearm ownership.

Optional:  You’re welcome to bring a bottle of water or any non-alcoholic refreshment to stay comfortable during class.

We strive to create a focused, professional, and welcoming learning environment. If you have any special needs or accommodations, feel free to reach out before class.
